John Terry actually wants a Premier League job rather than a move to Nottingham Forest amid recent rumours of a City Ground return.

That’s according to 90Min, Terry isn’t interested in the Forest job.

The initial reports stated that Terry saw Forest – his former loan club – as his first route into management.

Terry left his post as a coach at Aston Villa over the summer, and Forest could be looking for a new boss.

Chris Hughton’s Forest sit bottom of the Championship table. Sunday’s defeat to Cardiff City means Forest have just one point from six games.

Defeat to Middlesbrough tonight could spell the end for Hughton – but Terry allegedly prefers a Premier League job.

Forest sit bottom of the Championship, and are therefore a long way off the Premier League.

Terry is 40 and hasn’t yet managed a team, so jumping straight into a Premier League job seems a little unlikely.

The former Chelsea star may need to cut his teeth in the Championship first, but Terry seemingly thinks he can do better than Forest.
