Nottingham Forest Under-23’s drew 1-1 with Burnley on Friday night, with Braian Ojeda making his first appearance in the famous red shirt.

The focus will be on the first team’s game against Birmingham City today, but the under-23’s had their chance to shine too.

Forest played out a 1-1 draw as Alex Gibson-Hammond opened the scoring, only for Anthony Driscoll-Glennon to snatch a draw for Burnley.

Deadline day signings Ojeda and Mohamed Drager were both in action for Forest, with Ojeda catching the eye.

Forest fans have been waiting for Ojeda

When Ojeda signed from Olimpia in his native Paraguay, it felt like a Dane Murphy kind of move.

The kind of move Barnsley would gamble on after finding him in an unfamiliar league.

Ojeda comes with a decent reputation in South America, but Forest fans have yet to see him play for the first team.

Ojeda has though been left out of Paraguay’s squad for the international break, allowing him to adjust under Steve Cooper.

On Friday, Ojeda was given a debut in a Forest shirt, but bigger games are on the horizon for him.
