Nottingham Forest defeated Birmingham City 3-0 on Saturday. Goals from Lewis Grabban, Ryan Yates and Djed Spence gave the Reds a massive three points on their travels. After the game, Spence received praise on Instagram from Britt Assombalonga and Lyle Taylor.
Forest look rejuvenated under Steve Cooper. They scored three times in the midweek win at Barnsley and followed that up with another treble at Birmingham.
Spence has been marvellous since checking in at the City Ground. He is on loan at the club until the end of the season; with fans already particularly impressed with the youngster.
His goal at the weekend saw him rifle into the net after a free-flowing move that will have delighted Cooper. The boss has been asking his team to be braver on the attack and this showcased such a trait.
Boro fans are particularly perplexed at why Forest have been able to sign Spence. They believe he should be playing in their first team and plenty want him to be recalled in January.
It’s unclear whether that is an option, although Forest fans will hope to keep Spence until the end of the campaign at the very earliest.

What have Assombalonga and Taylor said about Spence shining for Forest?
Assombalonga is a man who knows all about scoring for the Reds. He fired 30 during his time at the club before leaving for Middlesbrough for £15 million.
He has basically said he knew of Spence’s quality all along and doesn’t sound shocked in the slightest that he’s producing the goods.
Taylor came on for the final 13 minutes on Saturday. He is struggling for form at the City Ground and with Grabban bang in form, his chances are coming at a premium.
He has implied that people should have a collection in order to ensure Forest can sign Spence on a permanent basis at the end of his loan.
