Bristol City v Nottingham Forest: What’s the story?

Forest are on the hunt for a fourth win in succession at Ashton Gate. Barnsley, Birmingham and Blackpool have all been put to the sword in recent weeks by a resurgent team.

Since Cooper checked in at the City Ground, the doom and gloom has evaporated and supporters are starting to dream once again.

It is early days of course. Forest will face tougher challenges in the weeks to come and tonight will provide a stern test.

Forest have played some gorgeous football in recent weeks though and confidence does seem to be high right now.

Bristol City haven’t won at home for 265 days and ultimately the squad has far too much quality for that run to continue much longer.

The Robins defeated the Reds at the City Ground last season, with the game at Ashton Gate ending in a goalless draw.

Broadcast details

Tonight’s game is live via the red button on Sky Sports. Supporters can also buy a match pass from Forest TV to watch the game live.

As always, BBC Radio Nottingham are also broadcasting full match commentary from Bristol this evening.

Complaints regarding the team selection before a ball has been kicked are few and far between these days.

Cooper has only been in the hot seat a matter of weeks but already the fan base trust him to pick the right team.

Still, some people have reacted to tonight’s team and plenty of fans are feeling confident.
