Report: Nottingham Forest laed race to sign Jili Buyabu, he’s already had trial at Chelsea

Nottingham Forest are making plans for the January transfer window and want to sign Hornchuch talent Jili Buyabu – but face a major battle for his signing.

That’s according The Non-League Football Paper, who claim that Forest are leading the race for Buyabu alongside Peterborough United.

Formerly of Crystal Palace, Buyabu is even attracting loftier interest.

Buyabu has spent time on trial at Chelsea, who remain keen on him, whilst Manchester City are interested too.

Football League World reported last week that Middlesbrough and Bournemouth

That means Forest will face a battle to sign Buyabu if they do make a move in the January transfer window.

Buyabu, 19, has hit two goals and two assists in 10 games for Hornchurch this season.

That’s at the seventh tier of English football, meaning Buyabu would be looking at a major jump through the leagues.

Forest have seemingly seen enough potential in Buyabu to register an interest, and we could now see him head to the City Ground in January.
