Nottingham Forest thrashed Preston North End 3-0 at the City Ground yesterday.
Lewis Grabban scored twice and Jack Colback bagged a scrumptious volley to give the Reds a big three points.
Forest have claimed a remarkable 21 points from Steve Cooper’s 10 games in charge.
Yesterday was perhaps the defining moment of Cooper’s reign and a young Forest side really came of age.
One man who was brilliant during the big win for Forest was Colback.
His goal was his second of the week and he’s really thriving under Cooper’s management.
Colback was criticised for his performances last season. Under Cooper, however, he’s showing the sort of form that tempted the Reds into signing him in the summer of 2020.
Against Preston Colback was outstanding. He roared into tackles, moved the ball well and ultimately scored a brilliant goal.
The fiery midfielder showed a calmness in his game that was perhaps lacking under Hughton and long may it continue.
The Reds now have two weeks off with the international break and fans couldn’t be happier with the current form.
Colback, 32, was instrumental yesterday and Forest fans are convinced he’s now a mainstay in the team.
What have Forest fans said about Colback?
It’s fair to say, they’re well chuffed! Fans are delighted with Colback’s efforts and he’s clearly starting to turn a corner at Forest.
The Reds midfielder really has been a revelation under Cooper and long may it continue in the Forest midfield.
After yesterday the Reds fan base took to Twitter to discuss the performance of the midfielder.
