Nottingham Forest are keen to strike a January deal with Tottenham to sign Dilan Markanday on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
The Premier League 2 goal machine has a number of clubs chasing a temporary deal. Blackburn, Bournemouth and Stoke are all in the mix to land the 20-year-old.
According to Football League World, the Spurs talisman will be allowed to go on loan by Antonio Conte during the transfer window.
The Italian boss has been impressed with the striker and has even had him training with the first team since his arrival.
Markanday has caught the eye playing with the under-23 ranks during 2020/21. He has scored 10 goals and claimed six assists during 15 appearances.
The versatile forward has showcased quality playing on the left flank, through the middle as a striker and as a number 10.
Markanday is a star of the future and his arrival at the City Ground would represent a sizeable coup.
The competition will be fierce for his signature and Forest might hope that Steve Cooper’s track record with youngsters will stand them in good shape.
Tottenham clearly feel that his development is best served on loan and the Reds are in the mix.

The Reds would be wise to target the loan market again in January, especially with a mid-table sort of season on the horizon.
Forest may wait until the summer to start pushing the boat out with regards to permanent transfers. As a result, loans could be ideal for now.

Forest would welcome some youthful exuberance in their frontline and Markanday could be the perfect addition in January.
