Former Nottingham Forest striker Ben Brereton Diaz has emerged as a £20 million transfer target for La Liga giants Sevilla.
The Blackburn talisman is in fine form for the Championship outfit this season. He has already scored 16 goals in 22 games in all competitions during 2021/22.
Brereton Diaz has been a revelation since getting a call up to play for Chile through his mother’s side of the family.
Adam Armstrong left the club for Southampton in the summer and the former Forest man has now stepped up the task of scoring goals for Rovers.

He’s done that with aplomb and perhaps interestingly The Sun claim that the Saints are also in the chase to sign Brereton Diaz.
A move to Sevilla would be intriguing from a Forest perspective though.
If he did join the Spanish side he could form a partnership with former Reds loanee Rafa Mir.
That in itself would be quite mindblowing considering that neither player really set the league alight during their time on Trentside.
The 22-year-old was sold by Forest for £7 million in 2019. He managed just nine goals in 57 appearances for the Reds and it seemed a decent deal.
Brereton Diaz has come of age during 2021/22 though and now perhaps the club will wish they had kept him, or demanded more in the way of a transfer fee.
Talent: Sevilla move would be incredible for former Forest man Brereton Diaz
It would be quite something to swap Blackburn for the sunshine of Seville and for Brereton Diaz it could represent a quality move.
Forest fans will be hoping and praying that the club divided to include a sell-on clause into any deal and that could make for a tidy little sum.

Brereton Diaz has proved a lot of his critics wrong this season and the challenge for him is to continue his blistering form.
Forest might now view the youngster as one that got away.
