Nottingham Forest have been linked with Adam Idah today and ironically he started in the Premier League for Norwich City against Tottenham this afternoon.
The young international is on the radar of Steve Cooper as he looks to beef up his strike force during the January transfer window.
Idah has found first-team football hard to come by at Carrow Road and Dean Smith is considering loaning him out.
Given his performance today that’s perhaps of little surprise as the 20-year-old endured a frustrating afternoon.
With Norwich trailing by a goal to nil, Idah was handed a golden opportunity to fire the Canaries level.
After getting himself into the box he was unmarked five yards out but with the goal gaping, he somehow dragged his effort wide.
Idah has played 45 times for Norwich although he’s yet to truly establish himself as a first-team regular at the club.
He has proven himself at the under-23 level though, scoring 14 goals in 32 outings in the Premier League 2.
Idah will be wanted by several clubs during the mid-season window but The Sun claim that Forest are firmly poised at the front of the queue.
What have Norwich fans said about Forest target Idah?
It’s fair to say that they were less impressed with the striker for his miss during the 3-0 loss at Tottenham.
On the back of it, plenty are keen to see Idah loaned out during the window, with plenty feeling as though the Championship could really help him.
Idah won’t want to dwell on his big miss today. He’ll hope to get another opportunity to right a few wrongs.
Here is what the Norwich fan base had to say after Idah’s performance this afternoon.
