Nottingham Forest beat Swansea City 4-1 yesterday and in Philip Zinckernagel, the Reds had a player who was absolutely bang in form.

The 26-year-old has been a pretty good signing since checking in from Watford and he scored yet another away goal yesterday.

Zinckernagel will spend the season on loan at the City Ground. The Hornets do have an option to recall him in January, although at this stage there are no plans to do so.

Of late, the Danish performer has become a regular in the Forest team and his goal yesterday was his fourth of the campaign.

Zinckernagel is proving a quality addition to the ranks and supporters are really enjoying witnessing his class first hand.

Last season the versatile forward was in good form for Watford and he’s taken to life in English football really well.

Forest have a plethora of attacking options to choose from. Brennan Johnson, Alex Mighten and Joe Lolley are all in place and Steve Cooper is spoilt for choice.

Zinckernagel has five years on his long-term contract with Watford. The longer they remain in the Premier League, however, the better chance of a permanent deal there will be.

What did Forest fans think Zinckernagel display?

It’s fair to say that this was one of the player’s better performances in the Garibaldi. He was in fine form and his goal was a tremendous strike that left Ben Hamer all ends up.

Zinckernagel isn’t a player that will always deliver a complete 90-minute performance but it’s fair to say that his quality gives Forest a cutting edge in the final third.

After yesterday’s superb win on the road, Forest supporters were quick to rave about Zinckernagel on Twitter and here is what they had to say.
