Nottingham Forest signed Mohamed Drager in the summer and he could go down as one of the most pointless in the club’s history.

That is because, according to GNet News in Tunisia, the defender is wanted for a return to his homeland.

Last season’s champions Esperance Sportive de Tunis are keen to take the right-back from Forest and have made him their number one priority.

Drager hasn’t kicked a ball for Forest. He has been on the bench once during the 0-0 draw away at West Brom.

The Tunisia international hasn’t been able to force his way into the team and the club could look to move him on in January.

If that does happen, some of the cynical supporters may just be proved right.

Plenty were unhappy when the Reds landed another player from Olympiacos and having not played a game their scepticism is perhaps justified.

Drager arrived having spent last season in Greece. He’s also made 68 appearances for Freiburg in Germany during his career.

His spell in Nottingham looks set to be short and not so sweet, however.

Negotiations are expected to begin with the player and Forest look to be keen to do business to offload the 25-year-old.

Nonsense: Drager nightmare has to be last in-house deal Forest do

These deals between Forest and Olympiacos are getting silly. Drager is the latest player to sign and have little impact on the Championship.

With Dane Murphy and Steve Cooper now on the same page, Forest must make sure this stockpiling of players becomes a thing of the past.

Some will point to the fact that some of the players signed from Olympiacos have worked.

Plenty haven’t though and if Drager does leave, this has to be considered the last deal of this sort moving forwards.

Getting the Tunisian off the books would be ideal for Forest and this transfer will be filed under bizzare.
