Nottingham Forest defeated Hull City 2-1 at the City Ground yesterday and afterwards fans lauded Brice Samba for his efforts.
The goalkeeper was in pretty steady form once again and he’s really upped his game since Steve Cooper arrived.
Samba made a smart stop at the end and produced several good takes aerially to command his box with much presence.
The 27-year-old has been in really good form under the new head coach and his confidence looks to be rediscovered.
Samba couldn’t prevent Keane Lewis-Potter from opening the scoring on Trentside but everything else he did was impressive.
His gamesmanship exploits caused cheers from around the City Ground as Forest tried to see the game out and secure a big three points.
Samba is a likeable member of the squad among the fan base and they do like his willingness to slow the game down when Forest lead.
His goalkeeping has sometimes come into question but largely he’s proved a pretty useful custodian during his two and half years at Forest.
Samba is firmly established as the club’s number one and has seen off competition from Ethan Horvath for his shirt this season.

It’s pretty clear that the supporters loved his gamesmanship antics yesterday.
Hull tried to slow Forest down at 1-0 up and Samba enjoyed returning the favour when the Reds hit the front.
Cooper will have been delighted with his goalkeeper’s form during yesterday’s game.
Samba did also make one sound stop late on with the Tigers looking to score an equaliser, which also delighted the fan base.
The former Caen man looks back to his best and he received some praise from the Forest faithful on Twitter after the game.
