Nottingham Forest man Xande Silva is set to end his City Ground nightmare and sign for Aris in a permanent deal.
According to transfer guru Georgios Sideridis, Silva has now agreed to go to Greece once the January transfer window opens.
The versatile forward will leave having played for just 24 minutes during 2021/22 and he’ll go down as a truly bizarre addition.
Silva always smacked of a panic buy. He cost the club £200,000 from West Ham with just minutes of the transfer window left.
He made just two appearances for the Hammers and was loaned out to Aris last season.
During the 2020/21 campaign, he made 33 appearances for the Greek top-flight outfit, scoring four goals and registering three assists.
They couldn’t raise the funds to sign him in the summer and it’s anticipated that he could join them for free from Forest.
Silva has agreed on a two-and-a-half-year deal with Aris and will surely look to put his Forest nightmare behind him.
His only appearance came during Chris Hughton’s last game in charge and the highlight saw him stick a shot at goal out for a throw-in.
What have Forest fans said about Silva?
It’s fair to say that most are sick to the back teeth of these kinds of deals coming back to bite the club.
Silva never really looked like a great signing on the face of things and it’s no surprise that he’s made zero impact.
