Nottingham Forest will be in the market for a new striker in 2022 and with January on the horizon, we’ve looked at three who could be ideal.
Folarin Balogun – Arsenal

Th Gunners starlet would almost certainly be a loan addition to the Forest ranks but he could prove an attractive one.
Balogun has been made available for loan during the January window, having failed to force his way into Mikel Arteta’s team.
He has been scoring for fun for the under-23s this season, captaining the side on several occasions.
Balogun has 15 goals during 2021/22 and it’s fair to say he’s outgrown football with the under-23 ranks.
Next up will be a loan move and Forest could prove the ideal club for his development.
Liam Delap – Manchester City

Probably an ambitious one but with Forest now in the higher echelons of the Championship, why not.
Delap is regarded as a bright, young talent and one who could be set for a really big future.
He is yet to taste regular first-team football and perhaps City would be willing to loan him out next month.
Delap has struggled with a hip problem this year but if the champions do let him head out on loan, Forest should be in the mix.
Cauley Woodrow – Barnsley

A player that Dane Murphy will be very familiar with is the 27-year-old Tykes talisman.
Barnsley are desperately struggling in the league and will face a real fight to avoid being relegated with Derby this season.
Woodrow has scored four times this season; including a penalty in a 3-1 defeat to Forest back in October.
The well-travelled striker will be out of contract in the summer of 2023 and with relegation looming perhaps they’ll consider a sale in the near future.
