Nottingham Forest want to sign Inter wonderkid Martin Satriano and it would represent a remarkable coup.
The Reds are keen to take the striker on loan and he could be the mystery Serie A talisman that The Athletic suggested Forest were looking at.
They claimed that someone from an Italian club was being monitored with a loan deal on the cards with a view to a permanent deal.
Satriano is extremely highly-rated but has managed just four appearances during 2021/22.
As a result, he could go out on loan in January – although a permanent deal does look unlikely at any stage.
That’s because it’s only seven months ago that Satriano had Premier League clubs fiercely eyeing a move.
Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester City and Everton have all been mentioned as holding an interest in the Uruguayan.
He caught the eye after a stunning campaign playing for Inter at Primavera 1 level. Satriano fired 14 goals and claimed eight assists from 25 games during the 2020/21 campaign.
Signing Satriano would be quite something.
The Reds need a striker to rival Lewis Grabban and Lyle Taylor, with a younger option on the cards.
Satriano is thought to be available on loan in January. He is behind some serious talent at Inter and playing men’s football would aid his development.
Game-changer: Satriano could take the Championship by storm at Forest
What a signing this would be!
There is no getting away from the fact that it would be a deeply ambitious addition and one that could prove tricky to complete.
- STRIKER: Forest linked with new talisman
You only have to look at the teams he’s been linked with to grasp just how much of a coup this would be.
Steve Cooper will desperately want to add a striker to his ranks and Satriano could seriously help his team reach the play-offs.
