Nottingham Forest v Huddersfield: What’s the story?

Steve Cooper saw his team beaten for the first time away from the City Ground and the first time anywhere for 10 games on Boxing Day.

An in-form Middlesbrough were much better than Forest and that’s left the boss to get some work sorted on the training ground.

Forest have lost just two of their last 17 matches and they’ll want to win tonight in order to stay in touch with the top-six.

The Reds have played some good football under Cooper and the challenge tonight is to prove that the weekend defeat was a mere blemish.

Huddersfield came from behind to beat Blackpool on Sunday.

They’re in really good form under Carlos Corberan and are unbeaten in their previous four matches.

The West Yorkshiremen will fancy a crack at the play-offs themselves this season.

Broadcast details

Tonight’s game is on Sky Sports with the coverage due to begin at 7:30.

Forest’s home clash with the Terries will also be live on BBC Radio Nottingham; with Colin Fray once again in place on commentary.

Fan reaction to Forest team picked to play Huddersfield

There are a couple of surprises in the Forest team tonight, from no Ryan Yates to the inclusion of Xande Silva.

Fans have been taking to Twitter to react to Xande’s inclusion, believing that he deserves a chance to start.

The former West Ham attacker was in danger of becoming a forgotten man at Forest, but some are excited to see him play tonight.
