Nottingham Forest’s quest for new signings doesn’t appear to be slowing down with a pre-contract offer for Hearts defender John Souttar now thought to be imminent.
Keinan Davis has arrived on loan from Aston Villa and Bournemouth defender Steve Cook looks set to join too.
Sam Greenwood, Cody Drameh, Martin Satriano, Goncalo Ramos and Marcus Forss have been touted too, but Forest’s next move could be for the 2022-23 season.
The Daily Record claim that Forest are set to offer Hearts centre back Souttar a pre-contract deal this week.
Blackburn Rovers have already made Souttar a pre-contract offer, and Rangers are thought to be keen too.
Forest are now ready to make they move though in the hope of securing a bargain.
Souttar is out of contract at the end of the season and can now discuss signing for other clubs.
The 25-year-old has bounced back from numerous injury woes to turn in a strong season for Hearts and even scored for Scotland against Denmark in November.

On a free transfer, you can hardly blame Forest for having a look at Souttar.
Some may though wonder whether Forest actually need to be going for Souttar.
With Cook on his way in, Forest also have Joe Worrall and Scott McKenna. Tobias Figueiredo, Rodrigo Ely and Loic Mbe Soh are also at the club, meaning a move for Souttar may mean Forest let a few defenders go next summer.
Blackburn remain favourites, but we could see Forest make their move for Souttar within days.
