Nottingham Forest knocked Arsenal out of the FA Cup last night. Lewis Grabban fired the game’s only goal with seven minutes remaining. After the game, Brennan Johnson received praise from none other than David Beckham.
Forest were inspired. During the second half, they played brilliantly as Arsenal finished the game without a shot on target. Brice Samba in the Reds goal was given the night off by a shot-shy Gunners outfit.
With the game edging towards an extra 30 minutes, Forest struck. Johnson slipped in Ryan Yates down the right and his teasing ball was poked home by Grabban who left Bernd Leno all ends up.

The game proved a repeat of the win for Forest the last time the two sides met in the FA Cup. On that occasion, the Reds ran out 4-2 winners, with Eric Lichaj the star of the show on that occasion.
Forest now face Leicester City in round four. Brendan Rodgers’ men thrashed Watford at the weekend and they will arrive at the City Ground in just under a month.
The performance highlighted everything good about Steve Cooper. His team worked hard, they dug in and ultimately it was the Championship outfit probing despite coming up against strong opposition.
What has Beckham said to Forest star Johnson?
It’s not the first time the former Manchester United man has shown support to Johnson. Following yesterday’s game, he was at it again, sending a heartfelt message to the Forest starlet.
The £20m-rated Johnson was in fine form. He tormented Nuno Tavares and even though he was replaced early on, Kieran Tierney was given a torrid time too.
Beckham kept it pretty simple with his latest message of support. He summed up the performance of Forest star Johnson using eight words in total after another sound showing.
