The son of Nottingham Forest owner Miltiadis Marinakis used one word to sum up a last-gasp win for the Reds at Millwall on Saturday. Lewis Grabban struck in the second minute of injury-time to keep Forest in touch with the Championship play-off places.

It was the 12th time that Grabban has found the net this season. He now has double the amount of goals that he managed in the entire 2020/21 campaign.

Forest were forced to battle against Millwall. This wasn’t the vintage display that saw them knock Arsenal out of the FA Cup. Instead, it was one that showcased grit, determination and a keep a clean sheet at all costs mentality.

Forest face the small task of an East Midlands derby-day against a resurgent Derby County next. Both the Rams and the Reds have taken 18 points from their last 10 games.

If Forest are to gatecrash the play-offs, they simply have to continue winning games. The next two are at home and Steve Cooper will be aware of the importance of both.

What has Marinakis said about the latest Forest win?

A video from the owner’s son is becoming a bit of a trademark. His passion is admirable and he once again took to Twitter at the weekend.

He used the word ‘unbelievable’ to describe the team’s late goal. It was a well-worked strike too. A teasing run from Brennan Johnson saw him set up Philip Zinckernagel who saw his saved shot deflected into the path of Grabban to tap home.

Forest supporters will hope Marinakis is updating his Twitter account once more on Saturday afternoon after Derby have visited the City Ground.
