Tottenham have been tracking Nottingham Forest loan star Djed Spence for many months, according to Sky Sports. Furthermore, it’s now being claimed that Antonio Conte could make a move for the 21-year-old this month!
Fear not though Forest fans. If they do strike a deal with Middlesbrough this month, the player will stay at the City Ground having already played for two clubs during 2021/22.
Spence was allowed to remain at Forest by Boro earlier this month. After some strong form, however, it is thought that his parent club have fielded some calls.
Arsenal saw first-hand what Spence is capable of in their FA Cup defeat to Forest. They’re keen along with Brentford, Leeds and now, Spurs.
This is the first time an imminent deal has perhaps been mentioned though. A lot of the other reports have claimed that moves will be made in the summer.
Tottenham are looking to steal a march, however. They want to agree on terms with Boro and then agree to let Spence stay on loan at Forest for the remainder of the season.
Spurs are in the market for a right-back. Conte prefers a system with right-sided wing-backs and Spence fits that role superbly well.

Forest fans need to get the notion of keeping Spence out of their head. With Premier League clubs queuing around the block, even a promotion to the Premier League might not be enough for the Reds.

The youngster has been tracked for some time by Premier League clubs. Now, it seems certain that he will get a crack with a truly big club in the modern game.
