Nottingham Forest could still let Xande Silva leave this month but it will depend on whether or not the club can take care of their own business first.
Aris have offered the Forest winger a deal and the player is thought to be weighing up whether or not to accept their advances, according to SDNA.
In any case, the Reds aren’t prepared to sanction his departure just yet. Silva has been around the first-team squad recently, with Joe Lolley and Alex Mighten both out injured.
Silva has been the number one target for Aris this month. They saw the best of him during a loan spell last season when he scored four goals and claimed three assists for the club.
He remains their number one target for the current transfer window. As a result, there could be some movement before next week’s deadline.
Silva came off the bench against Middlesbrough on Boxing Day and looked pretty lively. He was then handed a start three days later against Huddersfield and again, did okay.
He has been back on the bench for games against Millwall and Derby in the Championship and during the win against Arsenal in the FA Cup.
Options: Forest wise to hang on to Silva
Right now, the Reds can’t possibly be considering letting the former West Ham man leave. He was the only attacker on the bench at the weekend along with Lyle Taylor and Forest are light in attack.

Silva looked pretty lively during his two most recent performances. He has a decent turn of pace, is tricky and does seem to put the opposition on the back foot.
Aris look unlikely to be going anywhere. They are keen to sign him this month and will wait until the end of the window if necessary.
If Forest get another forward in, perhaps then they can look at offloading Silva.
