Nottingham Forest piled on the misery for Barnsley as the Reds brushed aside weak opposition 3-0 at the City Ground. After the game, fans were quick to rave about Keinan Davis.

The on-loan talisman scored his first goal for Forest at the fourth time of asking. He capitalised on some poor defender to race through and open the scoring on 15 minutes.

Davis has worked his socks off in recent weeks. With that in mind, every supporter inside the City Ground clearly enjoyed the 23-year-old wheeling away after breaking the deadlock.

Since arriving from Aston Villa, the talisman has started every game. He has been close to scoring on a couple of occasions but last night he took his chance with aplomb.

LEAVE RASHFORD ALONE.

Davis will spend the rest of the season at the City Ground. He does add a different dimension to the Forest attack and looks like a player capable of bulldozing defenders into submission.

The Reds were far too good last night. Barnsley huffed and puffed but they lacked quality at both ends of the pitch and Forest could have scored a few more goals.

There were lots of magic moments throughout the comprehensive win. Davis scoring was arguably the highlight though and he’ll now hope to get himself on the scoresheet more often.

What have Forest supporters said about Davis?

It’s fair to say that they’re impressed. Forest fans haven’t been getting on Davis’ back during his opening three games, but his hard work has warranted a goal for the team.

That finally came in game number four and the challenge now is to help himself to a few more.

Davis has been really useful since coming in at Forest and in Steve Cooper’s team, he should get plenty of chances to score more goals.

Fans certainly hope that is the case and after last night’s game they reacted to his performance on Twitter.
