Nottingham Forest fans simply can’t get enough at the moment and Djed Spence has etched himself into Forest loanee folklore.

Last night he registered an assist as Brennan Johnson scored the third goal for Forest in a 3-0 win and supporters raved about him afterwards.

Spence has been nothing short of sensational. He checked in from Middlesbrough on loan back in August and has been a mainstay in the Forest team.

He has struck up a really good partnership with Brennan Johnson. With Brentford sniffing around the academy graduate, supporters will hope that the double team isn’t broken up.

Spence claimed his first assist for Forest in last night’s game against Barnsley. He was credited with one against Bristol City earlier in the season, although that was by winning a penalty.

Forest have won six of their last eight league games in the Championship. A large part of their good form has been down to the form of Spence who has been mesmerising.

Last night he produced a stunning solo run down the right, causing chaos for the defence. He then neatly squared the ball back to Johnson who slotted him from close range.

What have Forest fans said about Spence?

After the game, the youngster took to Twitter. He was keen to praise the fans for their support and also clearly enjoyed claiming an assist.

Supporters are seriously running out of superlatives to describe Spence. Many are even hoping that he can be kept beyond the summer; although looks to be a long shot.

Arsenal, Tottenham, Inter and Roma are all keen on the defender and he won’t be short of options in the summer.

For now, Forest fans are enjoying watching Spence’s brilliance in full flight and last night they took over his Twitter to praise his performance.
