Cardiff v Nottingham Forest: What’s the story?
Forest have won every game they have played in 2022. They beat Arsenal in the FA Cup and have since followed that up with victories over Millwall, Derby and Barnsley.
They will head to Cardiff this afternoon with a clean bill of health. Cooper has no new injury concerns ahead of the journey to the Welsh capital.
Forest were pretty disappointing in the second half against Barnsley in midweek. They won 3-0 but Cooper felt the performance was one that saw the team’s high standards drop somewhat.
If Forest can capitalise on some poor Cardiff form today, they could achieve something they’ve not done yet this season and step into the top six.
The Bluebirds are struggling and badly need points. Steve Morison has overseen six winless games as Cardiff manager and they need a big win for opposite reasons to Forest.
Today’s game is live on Sky Sports. Radio coverage as ever will be courtesy of BBC Radio Nottingham on the usual frequency.
Fan reaction to Forest team picked to play Cardiff
It’s rare these days that supporters get too disgruntled, given that Cooper has the complete trust of the fans.
Today is no different and Forest supporters are pretty happy ahead of the game.
