Nottingham Forest fans discuss Keinan Davis performance against Cardiff

Nottingham Forest were beaten 2-1 by Cardiff City in disappointing fashion yesterday. Following the game, supporters were quick to single out Keinan Davis following his eye-catching display from the bench.

The Reds struggled in Wales. An early goal from Jordan Hugill set the Bluebirds on their way, with Isaak Davies adding a second strike during the second half.

Davis pulled one back deep into stoppage time but it proved scant consolation. It was his second goal in two games and he’s taken no time at all to settle.

The 23-year-old joined Forest from Aston Villa. Steven Gerrard decided he need regular first-team football and chose to loan him out to the Reds.

The powerful talisman has been a revelation really. He’s offered a physical presence in attack and is now adding some goals to his game too.

Davis provides a different option to Lewis Grabban. With the 13-goal talisman limping out of yesterday’s game, the Villa owned starlet might now have to step up even more.

Losing Grabban would be a blow. With two goals in his last two games, however, there is a good chance Steve Cooper will back Davis to continue firing.

What have Forest fans said about Davis?

To be honest, they’re happy. If anything, some fans are more disgruntled that the player didn’t start; although it’s thought that he has been ill in the build-up to this one.

Davis has surprised a few people. It appears as though the player wasn’t overly fancied when he checked in at the club, although his quality has shone through.

Now, Davis might have to take on the goalscoring mantle in the absence of Grabban. If he’s facing a long lay-off, the club might not have time to land a new striker before tonight’s deadline.

Here is what fans had to say about Forest talisman Davis.
