Arsenal and Tottenham will both make late deadline day bids for Nottingham Forest loan star Djed Spence, according to The Northern Echo. The 21-year-old is on the sights of both North London-based clubs and Middlesbrough are braced for bids.
Spence has been in fine form for Forest this season. He has been a mainstay in the team and the Reds won’t want to lose him at the eleventh hour with the window about to slam shut.
Forest added the defender on deadline day back in August. The Reds actually submitted a late deal sheet and announced the signing after the window had closed.

Both Tottenham and Arsenal are hoping to bolster their squads ahead of next season by snaring Spence. The Premier League duo would both be willing to let the talented wing-back remain on loan at Forest until the summer.
Given that he’s already played for two clubs this season, Spence would be ineligible to play for a third during 2021/22; fortunately for Forest!
Spence made his 23rd appearance in the Garibaldi yesterday. He played the full 90 minutes as Forest were beaten 2-1 by Cardiff on their travels.
Forest hopes of signing Spence are dwindling
It seems obvious that Forest must enjoy Spence whilst they can. The Premier League beckons for the talented Boro man, with or without Forest.
Arsenal and Tottenham will both offer a more attractive proposition for Spence. He will play for an established Premier League outfit and likely earn a substantial wage.

- GREEN LIGHT: Forest get go ahead to move for talented gem
The Forest fans have warmed to Spence. He’s struck up a brilliant partnership with Brennan Johnson and has been one of the best right-backs in the Championship.
Contingency plans will need to be made by Forest. Spence won’t be at the City Ground next year and perhaps fans need to accept that.
