Laryea signed for Forest during the January transfer window. He’s yet to make a matchday squad with international football taking preference last month.

Canada play El Savador on Thursday but after that, he will hope to settle at Forest and force his way into the first-team reckoning.

His performance against the USA caught the eye. With Laryea yet to play for Forest; supporters might be eager to hear what was said about him.

The MLS official website analysed his performance by saying: “Laryea showed plenty of energy in midfield and occasionally got into dangerous spots going forward, but not a ton of finishing product.

“Still, a solid all-around performance from the newfound Nottingham Forest man.”

Laryea looks like strong Forest addition

It was always a dream for the 27-year-old to sign for a European club and he’ll be determined to make his mark on the Forest team.

Laryea was offered a deal to become the highest-paid full-back in the MLS but instead, he chose to join Forest.

That bodes well and he will certainly have a point to prove in England.

Laryea can play in both full-back positions and Forest fans will hope to see him performing in the team between now and the end of the season.
