Nottingham Forest take on Blackburn Rovers tonight looking to get back to winning ways in the Championship.
The Reds defeated Leicester City in the FA Cup on Sunday but were beaten by Cardiff last time out in the league.
Forest will be buzzing after beating the Foxes but their main priority for this season has to be reaching the top-six of the Championship.
Ahead of tonight’s game, we looked at how Steve Cooper might line his team up at Ewood Park
The Forest rearguard
The 4-2-3-1 system has to become a thing of the past. It stifles Forest’s attacking qualities and ultimately, Cooper should prefer a 3-4-3 setup.
That’s how we think he will start this evening, with one change potentially in the offing.
Steve Cook could move over to operate as the right-sided central defender, with Tobias Figueiredo coming in for a rare start.
Joe Worrall played at the weekend despite his rib injury and Cooper might not want to risk him again so soon after.
Scott McKenna and Brice Samba will of course retain their places in the team.
The Forest engine room and wing-backs
The wing-backs really do pick themselves. Both Djed Spence and Max Lowe played well at the weekend and should continue tonight.
In midfield, there is perhaps a conundrum for Cooper.
Both Ryan Yates and James Garner are playing fantastically well at the moment but Jack Colback will be champing at the bit.
We think Cooper might look to go with continuity and that could see Colback take a place on the bench once more.
Leading the Forest line
Keinan Davis has been a real positive for the Reds since he checked in and he should get the nod to start again.
Behind him, it’s an easy decision for Cooper to contend with.
Both Philip Zinckernagel and Brennan Johnson were unplayable on Sunday and provided they’re both feeling fit and well, they will start tonight.
