Nottingham Forest defeated Blackburn Rovers 2-0 last night to go into the Championship play-off places for the first time this season. After the game, defender Steve Cook chose to react on Twitter with a post that supporters will love.

Cook has been a revelation since checking in at the City Ground. The 30-year-old has been commanding at the back and is linking up with Joe Worrall and Scott McKenna absolutely brilliantly.

Last night, he was once again in fine form. The Reds won the game thanks to goals from James Garner and Brennan Johnson, who slotted home a penalty deep into stoppage time.

Cook was at the heart of the superb defensive display by Forest. He kept out Ben Brereton Diaz, who is among the top goalscorers in the Championship, with relative ease.

Already the signing of Cook looks shrewd. Bournemouth didn’t ask for a transfer fee and landing him on a free, looks like daylight robbery right now.

The experienced defender has made close to 200 appearances in the Premier League and he’s showing at the moment that he’s more than capable of performing in the second tier.

Forest host Stoke on Saturday and with Cook at his solid best, you wouldn’t back against Forest claiming another three points.

What has Cook posted on Twitter after Forest victory?

Forest have adopted the Depeche Mode classic, Just Can’t Get Enough as their new anthem. The Reds now play it over the tannoy after every home win and one fan even snuck a speaker into the Ewood Park away end last night to blast out a rendition.

Cook has played homage to the new Forest anthem with his Tweet, suggesting that he indeed can’t get enough of Forest’s form right now.

With a few more wins, the Reds could really start to dream. At that point, supporters really won’t be able to get enough of those men in the Garibaldi.
