Nottingham Forest will see their team look somewhat different on Friday night with Ethan Horvath set to start. The American will deputies for the suspended Brice Samba and supporters have been reacting on Twitter.

The Reds first-choice goalkeeper almost cost Forest dearly at the weekend. His moment of madness saw referee Leigh Doughty with little choice but to send him off.

Now, he will miss trips to Bournemouth and Preston, whilst Horvath will also play in the game against Bristol City at the City Ground.

The 26-year-old has made three appearances for Forest since he arrived in the summer. His last league outing came in September when the Reds were defeated 2-0 by Middlesbrough.

Horvath was courted by several clubs before he signed for Forest in the summer. Tottenham were the most high-profile suitor before he eventually chose a move to the City Ground.

The goalkeeper played in the Champions League for Club Brugge last season. With that in mind, he does have the experience and the challenge for him will be to shake off the cobwebs as quickly as possible.

He will get at least three games to prove his worth and if he does produce the goods, Steve Cooper could call on him for the rest of the campaign.

What have Forest fans said about Horvath?

It seems as though plenty are keen for his critics to give him a chance over the next three games.

Although he made a mistake against Boro in his only other league outing, it’s fair to say everyone was playing pretty poorly under Chris Hughton.

Now, the ball is firmly in Horvath’s court. He must grasp the bull by the horns and prove his worth to Cooper.

Here is what Forest fans have been saying about Horvath ahead of Friday’s trip to Bournemouth.
