Nottingham Forest fans have been praising the work done by Gary Brazil behind the scenes at the City Ground.

A report into great work being done by the Forest academy in the modern era has been released by the League Football Education.

The investigation has drawn criticism from supporters as it doesn’t feature an interview, or any mention, of Brazil’s brilliance.

Naturally, that has made some supporters pretty angry. As a result, they feel the need to defend the current academy director.

The 59-year-old is now approaching 10 years of service at Forest. The work he’s done for the football club deserves immense credit.

Brazil has led Forest into the 21st century by gearing the academy for Category One status; something that was achieved last summer.

He’s also overseen first-team duties too. He has been placed in caretaker charge on a number of occasions, amid several sackings.

Brazil has worked serious wonders. He’s earned the club millions in the way of player sales of youngsters who have graduated to the first-team.

Now, supporters believe that he deserves more credit on the back of a strange article by League Football Education.

Brazil deserves immense credit from Forest supporters

When all around him has crumbled one man has stood amid the rubble, maintained his professionalism and dragged the club up by its bootstraps.

When Brazil eventually calls it a day, he will be almost impossible to replace. He has an astonishing reputation at the club and that will make for a thankless task.

The former Fulham player is a likeable character. He works tirelessly behind the scenes and a lifetime contract wouldn’t be undeserved.
