The Athletic journalist Nick Miller has claimed that Nottingham Forest under-23 head coach Andy Reid loves Julian Larsson.
The Reds forward has been catching the eye this season with the development squad and he recently scored two bangers against Aston Villa.
Larsson is on the cusp of the first team. Steve Cooper said following a recent game that he’d travelled with the squad but didn’t make the 18.

The 20-year-old has netted seven goals during 2021/22. He has struck up a decent partnership with Will Swan and the future looks bright in attack for Forest.
Larsson arrived on Trentside in January 2020 from AIK and he’s worked tirelessly to make himself the main man with the under-23 outfit.
Miller recently answered some questions from the Forest faithful and one saw him quizzed on which academy players might be the next to step up.
He told The Athletic: “There are plenty to get excited about. We’ve seen glimpses of Fin Back and Will Swan, Dale Taylor is injured at the moment but is highly thought of.
“Julian Larsson scored a couple of stonkers for the Under-23s the other week and Andy Reid loves him.”
Future: Larsson could make step up to Forest first team
The Reds head coach Steve Cooper is a big admirer of the work being done behind the scenes at Forest.
He can often be found watching the under-23 outfit when his time allows and he must be delighted with what he’s seen from Larsson.

Next season could see Forest’s strike force look a lot different. Lewis Grabban is out of contract, whilst Lyle Taylor could be sold.
Sam Surridge has been signed as one for the future but if Larsson earns a professional contract, he could perhaps get a chance in Cooper’s team.
Reid is a huge fan and perhaps over time, Cooper can become one too.
