Gary Brazil has heaped praise on Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson following his dad’s claims that a new contract could be just around the corner.
The Director of Professional Development has thrown his opinion on the 20-year-old into the mix and he’s offered a glowing reference.
Johnson has been in fine form for Forest this season. He has scored 10 goals and registered six assists, with the Reds in the mix for a play-off place.
Several Premier League clubs tried to snare the forward in the January transfer window. Brentford tried the hardest and saw four bids rejected, with the last of those coming shortly before the deadline.
Forest value Johnson around the £20 million mark. His contract situation does leave the club in a predicament, however, with just a year to run in the summer.
Johnson senior offered some hope during a recent interview with Nottinghamshire Live, however, that something might be struck in the near future.
The talented academy graduate has grown as a player this season. He was in fine form for Lincoln last season and the Championship hasn’t proved difficult for him.
