Nottingham Forest face Bristol City this afternoon looking to get back to winning way after two successive draws.

After beating Blackburn, the Reds have dropped points at home to Stoke and then gained on during a drab performance at Preston in midweek.

Steve Cooper has seen his team slip back down to tenth in the Championship and a return to winning ways is a must this afternoon.

Ahead of this afternoon’s game, we looked at how Forest could line up against the Robins.

The Forest rearguard

Ethan Horvath kept his first clean sheet in Forest colours at the weekend and he will continue in goal.

Elsewhere, it seems unlikely there will be any change.

Scott McKenna, Steve Cook and Joe Worrall all look set to start for the Reds this afternoon in a three-man defence.

The Forest engine room and wing-backs

Djed Spence and Max Lowe will both keep their places in the team this afternoon.

In midfield, Jack Colback could make way for James Garner to slot back into a more natural central midfield role.

Ryan Yates missed out against Stoke and Colback could suffer the same fate today.

Leading the Forest line

Keinan Davis has been spearheading the Forest attack in the absence of Lewis Grabban and that should continue today.

Philip Zinckernagel didn’t play a single minute in midweek and as a result, he could be in line for a start today.

Alongside him, Brennan Johnson will keep his place given that he’s been in mesmerising form of late.
