Premier League outfit Norwich City are running the rule over Nottingham Forest striker Keinan Davis, according to The Sun on Sunday (27/07; page 61).

The Aston Villa owned talisman is on loan at the City Ground until the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

Davis has scored twice for Forest during his time at the club, bagging in games against Barnsley and Cardiff City.

Now, Norwich have sent scouts to watch the 23-year-old in action as they prepare for a likely campaign in the Championship next season.

My Europa League Predictions.

Davis has been given rave reviews by Steven Gerrard. He’s already suggested that no decision on his future will be made until after Villa’s pre-season tour.

That does perhaps offer some hope that he will be moved on in the summer; with first-team football looking unlikely at Villa Park in the near future.

Forest will surely be keen on signing Davis given the chance. He has provided a different option in attack and has bags of potential.

The Reds could find themselves needing a new striker ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

Lewis Grabban is out of contract, whilst Lyle Taylor could be sold. That leaves Sam Surridge as the only recognised talisman ahead of next season.

Forest should do whatever it takes to sign Davis

The Aston Villa man has surprised a lot of people since he checked in at Forest.

Plenty didn’t particularly welcome his goalscoring record but he’s showcased that he brings so much more to the team.

Davis is a battering ram of a striker and he’s given plenty of Championship defenders the runaround since signing in January.

The youngster will have plenty of offers and at 23, plenty will view him as a potential player for the future.

Cooper has clearly been happy with his work rate since arriving and as a result, he has to place himself at the front of the queue for a permanent deal.
