Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Manchester United midfielder James Garner as though he is one of their own.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at the City Ground and scored four goals in 20 appearances.
His performances were so good that supporters spent the summer badgering Garner on social media begging him to come back.
Forest fans faced an anxious wait to see if their attempts to get him back for 2021/22 would be successful and in the end, they prevailed.

He took some time to get up to scratch during take two at Forest but since December he’s been utterly brilliant and frankly, undroppable.
Now, Forest fans might have something to cling onto when it comes to Garner making it a hat-trick of CIty Ground stints.
According to The Athletic, United would consider loaning the 20-year-old out again but there will be a condition for Forest to meet.
The report claims that the Red Devils would seek to get Garner hooked up with a Premier League club; meaning Forest must win promotion to stand any chance.
Reaching the top-flight isn’t out of the question. Forest are just three points off the play-offs with six of the top eight left to play.
Forest would love Garner to come back in the summer
The Reds fans have really taken to Garner during both of his spells on Trentside.
Clearly, the club would love to have the youngster back next season but more so, the club would love to be in the Premier League.

Garner has been fantastic for Forest and Steve Cooper has really got the best out of him.
Even if the Reds can’t lure the United man back to the club in the summer, it’s likely that an adequate replacement will be sought.
Garner’s form of late has been remarkable and this news will go down well among the fan base.
