Three Nottingham Forest players will be walking a tightrope when the Reds take on Huddersfield Town this evening.
The bookings and suspensions work slightly different in the FA Cup and a trio of stars must be very careful.
Any player who receives two bookings in FA Cup matches will sit out of the next game, with any accumulated cards cleared after the quarter-finals.
James Garner, Djed Spence and Philip Zinckernagel must all be careful tonight.
If any of those players are booked they will miss the last eight clash with Liverpool at the City Ground should Forest win.
That does represent a blow and it will be interesting to see how Steve Cooper plays it tonight.
Zinckernagel is certainly one who could make way. In recent weeks he has been in and out of the team and given his card situation he might get a rest.
Spence and Garner will provide bigger conundrums for Cooper.
Both players are integral to Forest’s fortunes and the Reds need to do whatever it takes to avoid them getting cautioned.
Forest have typically been quite disciplined under Cooper’s management and they’ll hope for more of the same tonight.
Nervy night on the cards for Forest trio
The Reds will be desperate to get through to the quarter-final tonight and set up a fantastic occasion against Liverpool in the last eight.
Forest will expect a tough game from Huddersfield tonight, with the Terriers unbeaten since November.
Cooper’s men have a go in every game though and they’ll take huge confidence from Friday’s last-gasp draw against Sheffield United.
Tonight should see the City Ground rocking and Forest will be bang up for the occasion.
Having beaten Arsenal and Leicester already in the competition, Forest will hope to produce the goods once more.
If they do progress, the Reds will hope Garner, Spence and Zinckernagel can stay away from the referee’s attention.
