Former Nottingham Forest midfielder David Prutton has delivered his prediction for tonight’s Championship clash between the Reds and QPR.

Steve Cooper’s men beat Reading 4-0 at the weekend and they are on the charge for a play-off place.

Keinan Davis scored two last time out, with Ryan Yates and Sam Surridge also finding the net for Cooper’s team.

Forest do need to keep winning, however, and a win tonight would see them take points off a promotion rival.

In 2022, the Reds have lost just once and they’re going to need to go on a similar run between now and the end of the campaign to gatecrash the top-six.

Prutton has delivered an interesting verdict ahead of tonight’s game and he is predicting a home win.

He told Sky Sports: “Nottingham Forest made light work of Reading on Saturday. Their FA Cup quarter-final with Liverpool is on the horizon, but there is work to do against QPR in midweek.

“QPR snatched an excellent comeback win against Luton at the weekend, which fired them back into the top six. This is a tough trip, though. Forest should have too much at the City Ground.

The Reds could live to rue the first seven games of the season when they collected just one point under Chris Hughton.

Still, the Reds are in the mix and that is a testament to the work that Cooper is doing on a daily basis at the club.

Forest could fall short. Tonight’s matches will certainly go a long way to determining whether or now the Reds have enough in the tank.

The Liverpool game is on the horizon but tonight, Forest have to take care of business in what looks like a massive Championship fixture.

Fans will hope Prutton is correct.
