Nottingham Forest midfielder Jack Colback has claimed that the Reds will take the game to Liverpool in this evening’s FA Cup quarter-final.
Colback has been full of praise for today’s opponents calling them one of the best team’s in the world.
Liverpool are on course for another Premier League title tilt and since the turn of the year, they’ve roared back into contention.
Forest are in a nice position to challenge for a play-off place. Their transformation under Steve Cooper has been nothing short of remarkable.
Colback has told the club’s media, via This is Anfield, that Forest have absolutely nothing to lose today.
He said: “There’s kind of a no-fear attitude and the lads are full of confidence. We really can’t wait.
“We know how tough it’s going to be, one of the best teams in the world, they’ve got world-class players in every position.
“These are the moments why you’re in football and you can create something really special. We’ll be having a go, we won’t be sitting back. We want to go after them and see what happens.”
Colback will likely play at left-back once again this evening. With Max Lowe injured it’s likely to become his position during the next few weeks.
Colback comments highlight what Forest are all about
This is what the new Forest do. They set up in each game to take the game to the opposition and it’s a welcome change from the pragmatic approach under Chris Hughton.
Football is all about entertainment and Forest certainly bring plenty of that to the table under Cooper.
Colback’s comments will go down well with the fan base. It’s such a refreshing time to be part of the fan base and naturally, the Reds are a club on the up.
Forest will need to give 110% to stand any chance this afternoon but with Colback leading the charge, don’t bet against a cracking cup tie.
