Danny Murphy has told the Daily Mail that Djed Spence is becoming a £25 million player at Nottingham Forest. The pundit made the claim ahead of yesterday’s clash with Liverpool which Forest lost 1-0.
Spence has been incredible for Forest during 2021/22. He has really come of age and Middlesbrough must be kicking themselves that they let him leave.
The 21-year-old was recently called into the England under-21 outfit, joining James Garner in representing the England young guns.
Spence has made 33 appearances for the Reds this season. He has grown as the season has progressed, scoring three goals and claiming five assists.

Now, the player has several of European football’s top clubs chasing his signature. Bayern Munich were linked recently, whilst Arsenal and Tottenham both have a desire to sign him.
Murphy expects Spence to be commanding a big transfer fee when the summer transfer window opens in the coming months.
He told the Daily Mail: “Djed Spence has been a great story this season. On loan from Middlesbrough, he’s becoming a £25 million player at Forest.”
Spence will return to Boro at the end of the season. It seems highly unlikely he will remain at the Riverside Stadium and he looks destined for the top.
Spence is set for stardom after Forest exit
Forest went with a 4-2-3-1 system last night and it’s fair to say that Spence does become somewhat isolated when that system is deployed.
Spence has been nothing short of a revelation. The Reds fan base have been mesmerised by the defender’s brilliance.

He will be sorely missed by the Forest fan base and the challenge for Steve Cooper is to try and find a suitable replacement for next season.
That man could be Richie Laryea. It is perhaps concerning that he hasn’t played a single minute of action since arriving in January.
Spence will be hoping to make a move this summer and one of Europe’s top clubs will hope to secure his signature.
