Brennan Johnson has produced a cheeky moment during Wales training – but the Nottingham Forest man was soon on the receiving end from teammate Neco Williams.

The Reds performer has been a standout for Steve Cooper this season. He has scored 12 goals and claimed six assists, with Forest in the mix for a play-off place.

Johnson will hope for another Wales chance tonight. He managed just a few moments in last week’s qualifier against Austria and he’ll want to play in tonight’s friendly.

The Dragons take on the Czech Republic and places for the massive play-off final against Ukraine or Scotland are up for grabs.

Johnson is letting his club form take care of itself and he’ll want to earn a regular place in the Wales team as he continues to develop.

The 20-year-old was proving his skilful self in training yesterday. He was spotted cheekily nutmegging Liverpool owned defender Neco Williams during a session.

The player on loan at Fulham did get the last laugh, however. Later on, Johnson was spotted on the receiving end of the ball being placed through his legs.

Spirits look high in the Wales camp and Johnson will be desperate to get involved during tonight’s friendly contest.

Forest will hope Johnson returns unscathed

Forest fans do have a great rapport with their younger players and Johnson is no different. As a result, they’ll want to see him play tonight.

Despite that, the most important thing is Forest and the fan base will be anxious that he returns fit and well ready for Saturday’s game at Blackpool.

The Reds can’t afford too many more slips in their quest to reach the play-offs. With that in mind, they will need to keep all of their attacking quality fit.

Hopefully, Johnson can return to the City Ground ready to produce some of the skills he’s shown in Wales training in the Championship.
