Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson saw his stock rise again last night. The forward claimed the Star Man accolade from the local media as Wales drew with the Czech Republic 1-1.
Rob Page chose to have a look at his squad in Cardiff. After sitting out the majority of last week’s qualifier, Johnson was handed a rare start for Wales in last night’s friendly.
Johnson has been in fine form for Forest during the 2021/22 campaign. He has found the net 12 times and also registered six assists for his hometown club.
That has led to a vast amount of interest from the Premier League and Forest face a real fight on their hands during the summer transfer window.

His performance was recognised by Wales Online. The Forest sensation was awarded their Star Man accolade and handed a rating of 8/10 for his latest international performance.
They summed up his performance by saying: “Pace caused problems all evening. A series of runs behind the defence provided the spark for his side’s best moments.
“Did brilliantly for the first goal, with his breakneck pace putting it on a plate for Colwill. Nearly slipped in Matondo just before the break with a superbly-times pass.
“Unlucky not to find the net himself, driving wide just after half-time before forcing a really good save. A really good all-round performance from a man that is surely set to be a future star for his country.”
Forest will be delighted with Johnson progress
Johnson will only have a year remaining on his current deal during the summer. Despite that, performances of this nature will help the Reds retain their valuation.
The Forest star had Wales fans purring last night. He was truly sensational and gave the Czech Republic defenders a torrid time.

That can only bode well for Forest and their valuation of the 20-year-old. He looks destined for the Premier League at some point but right now, the Reds will fancy keeping him.
The future looks bright for Johnson and Forest will hope they can keep the youngster for a little while longer.
