Nottingham Forest beat Birmingham 2-0 yesterday with Keinan Davis getting his fifth goal of the campaign. After the game, he received praise from Jack Grealish and Cafu.
The 24-year-old has been a brilliant signing for the Reds. He arrived on loan in January from Aston Villa and he’s bolstered the team’s attack considerably.
Forest are now up to third in the Championship and have both Bournemouth and Fulham to play before the season ends.
Davis has been an instrumental part of what the Reds are trying to do. He’s made the striker position in Steve Cooper’s team his own and is currently keeping Lewis Grabban out.
Yesterday he bulldozed his way to goal and powered home an unstoppable effort to open the scoring early doors.
His goal saw him score against Aston Villa’s fierce rivals and he clearly enjoyed the strike, to say the least.
Davis is down the pecking order at Villa Park. Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings are both ahead of him and perhaps a permanent deal could be on the cards for Forest.
On current form, the supporters would love to see him back at the City Ground strutting his stuff for the club next season.
What has Grealish and Cafu said about Forest star Davis?
Grealish has had his own epic moments against Birmingham down the years and he clearly enjoyed Davis scoring against the Blues.
The £100 million was is on the bench for Manchester City in this afternoon’s massive game in the Premier League.
Cafu has used three words, to sum up, the performance of Davis. The Portuguese midfielder was on the bench yesterday during Forest’s latest win.
Davis will hope to continue scoring goals as Forest look to end their long wait to secure a return to the Premier League.
