Nottingham Forest defender Djed Spence was named Player of the Month for March on Friday. After receiving his award, he earned praise on Instagram from Derby star Ravel Morrison and Liverpool gem Harvey Elliott.
The Reds ace has been in fine form all season. He joined the club back in August from Middlesbrough and has thrived under the influence of first-team football.
Spence has top clubs now vying for his services. Arsenal and Tottenham are thought to be leading the chase, although Bayern Munich scouts have been sent on a City Ground mission too.
Middlesbrough are thought to value Spence around the £15 million mark. He won’t be short of suitors and looks destined for a top European league when his time at Forest ends.
Spence scored a belter of a goal during the month of March. With Forest trailing 1-0 to QPR he picked out the top corner from distance and provided the catalyst for a Reds win.
The 21-year-old earned an England under-21 call-up last month too. He made his debut in Lee Carsley’s team and that was just reward for his strong form.
What have Morrison and Elliott said to Forest ace Spence?
Derby fans won’t be happy to see their star midfielder praising a Forest man. It’s almost five years since they beat Forest and face relegation to League One.
He has congratulated Spence and claimed that it’s thoroughly deserved for his fine run of form.
Elliott has also heaped praise on the young Forest star. The pair did battle in the month of March when the two teams met in the FA Cup quarter-final.
Spence will hope to join the youngster in the Premier League next season when he earns himself a big summer move.
