Nottingham Forest striker Keinan Davis has been praised by Birmingham City boss Lee Bowyer after he devastated the Blues on Saturday.
Davis bustled his way through the Birmingham defence to break the deadlock after just five minutes at the City Ground.
His brute is a clear primary attribute although he’s now starting to showcase some composure when it comes to finishing chances.
Davis is on loan at the City Ground and Forest will be hoping to sign him permanently from Aston Villa during the summer.
His form at Forest might alert some other clubs into the race but Davis is enjoying himself on Trentside.
Bowyer watched on as Davis tormented his team on Saturday and he raved about the 24-year-old following the contest.
He told The Athletic: “It’s difficult to stop someone like Keinan. I was here to watch Forest on Wednesday and he did the same thing to Coventry; he caused them problems.
“He is a very good player. He’s quick, he is powerful, he can play, he can run, he can hold the ball up…he’s just a very difficult player to play against.”
Forest have to pull out the stops to sign Davis this summer
They say that falling in love with loan players is a cardinal sin. This season, the Reds have fallen in love with each loan star at various points of the campaign.
Right now, fans are waxing lyrical over Davis and he thoroughly deserves every single ounce of praise that has been thrown in his direction.
Unlike some of the club’s other loan players, Davis looks like a realistic signing. Aston Villa could look to offload him and Forest have to place themselves at the front of the queue.
The Reds could find themselves in need of a striker and tying down Davis for the foreseeable looks like a wise thing to do.
His arrival would certainly see fans of Forest absolutely buzzing!
