Nottingham Forest youngster Rezi Rama has appeared to hint that he’s set to leave the City Ground on Instagram.
The Albanian defender has been at the City Ground for several years and has risen through the academy ranks.
During the 2021/22 campaign, he’s made 14 appearances for Andy Reid’s team, with the Reds gunning for a play-off place.
It’s the first time that the young guns have played in Premier League 2 and they have their sights on promotion to the top division.
Rama typically operates as a centre-back, although he has been known to play as a full-back on some occasions.
The 21-year-old is out of contract in the summer and he’s appeared to suggest that he will soon be saying his goodbyes to Nottingham.
Rama signed from Forest in 2019 from Olympiacos and he’s also spent a short time on loan with Truro City during his time on Trentside.
The Forest academy ranks are well-stocked when it comes to defenders. As a result, it would appear that Gary Brazil and his team have made a decision on the youngster.
What has Rama said to suggest Forest departure?
The Albanian youth international has posted a pretty conclusive post on Instagram ahead of the end of his contract.
He’s basically posted a picture of himself and used the term ‘last dance’ to imply that he’s made his final appearance for the club.
It’s never nice when young players are told that they won’t be earning a professional deal with the club and are forced to find pastures new.
That is the unfortunate side of academy football though and naturally, some players will slip through the net.
Rama should find himself a new club and Forest will hope this is one that they don’t live to regret.
