Jonathan Panzo made his debut for Nottingham Forest on Saturday during the 1-1 draw at Hull. After the game, he received comments on social media from Liverpool man Rhys Williams and Forest transfer target Rhian Brewster.
The youngster checked in at the City Ground during the January transfer window. He signed from Dijon where he had been since joining from Monaco in August 2020.
Since joining Forest he’s had to settle for a watching brief. He had made the bench in the FA Cup but his game time had come whilst playing for Andy Reid’s under-23 outfit.

Panzo was called up by Steve Cooper for the trip to Hull. He has worked with the youngster before, making him integral in his England under-17 outfit that lifted the World Cup in 2017.
The 21-year-old is a left-sided option and he lined up alongside Joe Worrall and Tobias Figueiredo in the back three during the final game of the regular campaign.
Panzo played for around an hour and he didn’t disappoint. He showcased his talent and he wasn’t overawed on his debut in the Championship for the Reds.
His main attribute was his intelligent reading of the game; whilst he also looked extremely comfortable when it came to bringing the ball out.
Panzo makes Forest debut and now he will hope for more
Brewster played with Panzo during their time together in the England youth setup. He’s implied that he will see the Forest man soon; with the Reds to meet Sheffield United in the play-offs.
Williams is another player who has played with Panzo. He has partnered with the Liverpool man at England youth level and he also praised him on Instagram after his debut.
Panzo now has a taste for regular football. That will give him a great amount of belief ahead of next season and he will be ready if he’s needed for the play-offs.
