Nottingham Forest star Djed Spence has been named in the FIFA 22 EFL Team of the Season. He’s joined in the list of players by transfer target Scott Twine.

The Reds performer has enjoyed a wonderful campaign. He joined the club on loan from Middlesbrough in August and has become a mainstay in the team.

Under Steve Cooper, he’s enjoyed a good run in the team and has also earned recognition from the England under-21 setup during the 2021/22 campaign.

Forest would dearly love to keep Spence. That is likely to depend on whether or not they can reach the Premier League, however, with Arsenal and Tottenham both keeping tabs.

Spence has been made in the team alongside Twine. Forest were linked with him in January and scored 20 goals for MK Dons during their campaign.

The season drew to a close last night at Stadium MK. The Dons were beaten 2-1 on aggregate by Wycombe and miss out on a place in the Play-Off Final.

That could mean that Twine has played his last game for the club. Several clubs, including Forest, are likely to have him on their shortlist of summer targets.

Spence named in Team of the Year and Forest have been lucky to have him

What a season it’s been for Spence. He arrived on the back of some pretty harsh words from Neil Warnock and he’s comfortably rammed those down his throat.

Spence now has several clubs monitoring him. Bayern Munich scouts have even been down the City Ground to take a look; with Dortmund and Leverkusen also keen.

This is yet another accolade for Spence to take from his time at Forest. Last month he was named in the official EFL Team of the Year and there could be more to come.

Forest will hope to sign Spence should they win promotion. If they don’t, Cooped must ensure the team is well-stocked at right wing-back next season.
