Kevin Campbell says Nottingham Forest have three ingredients that can take them to the Premier League this season.
In an interview with The Athletic, he gave his verdict on the promotion race with Forest due to meet Sheffield United in the play-offs.
The Reds narrowly missed out on automatic promotion to the Premier League and they must now reset ahead of the play-off campaign.
Forest have a sound head coach in Steve Cooper and his squad is brimming with young players that possess plenty of quality.

It won’t be easy to overcome a Sheffield United side that where in the Premier League last season but there is plenty of belief running through the club.
Campbell believes Forest can get over the line and has given three things he thinks they have that can take the team up.
He told The Athletic: “It’s too big a club, the history is too vast and it’s been too long.
“It’s time for these young players to take the reins. They have the right manager, camaraderie and talent.”
Forest head to Bramall Lane on Saturday before facing the return leg at the City Ground next Tuesday night.
Campbell is right, Forest can reach the Premier League
It’s an exciting time to be a Red. Now, the season resets though and what happened in the other 46 games doesn’t matter one bit.
Forest are three games from the Premier League and after an abysmal few years, Cooper has performed miracles on Trentside.
The Blades will be up for both games. Having tasted top-flight football they’ll be buzzing to get back at the first attempt and Forest must be wary.

Campbell makes a lot of sense though. Forest do have all the tools they need and after missing out on automatic promotion they must believe in themselves.
Cooper will stick to his guns. He aims to attack every single game and that won’t be about to change.
If Forest can prepare right for the two games with Sheffield United, there is absolutely no reason at all why the team can’t reach the Wembley final.
