Nottingham Forest face Huddersfield Town today and predictions of a win for Steve Cooper’s men aren’t impressing Levi Colwill.

Forget Saturday night’s Champions League final, the big game in town is actually this afternoon.

Forest take on Huddersfield in the Championship playoff final today, with a place in the Premier League up for grabs.

Cooper’s men saw off Sheffield United in the semi-finals, coming through a dramatic penalty shootout at the City Ground.

Huddersfield’s journey wasn’t quite as anxiety-inducing but it did take a late Jordan Rhodes winner to see off Luton Town.

Now ready for a final that few could have predicted back in September, Forest and Huddersfield are ready for battle.

Many have been backing Forest for victory today.

The story of Forest coming back to the Premier League after more than 20 years out of the top flight has captured the hearts of many neutrals.

That’s not intended as disrespect to Huddersfield either, who have enjoyed a superb season under Carlos Corberan.

Huddersfield deserve to be in the final and will be just as desperate to secure promotion as Forest.

It seems that the predictions of a Forest victory aren’t going down too well in the Huddersfield camp though.

Defender Levi Colwill, who has enjoyed an outstanding season on loan at Huddersfield from Chelsea, has shared his thoughts.

Colwill has told the Daily Mail that Huddersfield don’t pay too much attention to predictions having been backed for relegation before the season.

Colwill added that his friends have been sending him articles backing Forest for promotion, giving the stern response that those people can ‘think whatever they like’.

The young defender is ready to prove the doubters wrong again and Cooper will need to guard against a Huddersfield side desperate to crush Forest’s dream.

“We were predicted to get relegated at the start of the season. Now look at us,” said Colwill. “Even my friends were sending me tweets showing me different articles and trying to wind me up. People who think Forest are favourites for the final can think whatever they like. We will show what we’ve got,” he added.
